Pre-Camp Prayer & Fasting Month - Week 1 (18 Nov)

WEEK 1: Church members, Church leadership & Ministries

(1 Timothy 2:1 - 2)

Ministries include Sun Sch, Music/AV, Ushers/Treasury, Pastoral Staff/Epaphras, Youth, Adults.

Aspects: Health, e.g. spiritual, mental & physical

DAY 1 - PASTOR
> Pray for effective use of time. Pray that he will use those hours wisely
> Pray for a strong relationship and quality time spent with his family.
> Physical and mental strength. Pastor often works long hours studying and preparing for speaking and counselling, being available to those who need advice or friendship, and attending church meetings and functions.
>Pray for opportunities for Pastor to rest. Ask God to give pastor time away from the rigors of ministry.
>Pray for wisdom. Pastor has to make decisions for his own family for which he needs guidance from God.

* Strength to stand firm for the principles of God’s Word (Eph 6:10-11, 13)
* To live according to the Holy Spirit’s direction (Gal 5:25) and worthy of his calling (Eph 4:1) as a good soldier of Christ (2 Tim 2:3-4)
* Accuracy as he presents the truths of Scripture (2 Tim 2:15)

DAY 2 - CHURCH LEADERS
> Faithfulness to spend time reading God’s Word every day (Psalm 119:11)
> An intimate knowledge of God (Philippians 3:10)
> Humility (Micah 6:8)
> Fear of God — respect and awe for Him (Proverbs 1:7)
> New leaders to rise up

DAY 3 - CHURCH MEMBERS
> Pray that everyone will know God’s awesome presence (Deut 10:20-21)
> Pray that everyone will have an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ as Saviour
> Pray they everyone will cultivate the fruits of the Spirit (Gal 5:22-23)
> Pray that everyone will be able to make God’s priority the first priority (Ps119:37)
> Pray that everyone will begin to exercise the Gifts of the Spirit (1 Cor 12: 4-10)
> Pray for everyone’s emotional, physical, financial & mental well being

DAY 4 - MINISTRIES (PT 1)
> Youth, Young Adults & Sports Ministry: For youth leaders to arise
> Kids & Tweenies Ministry: That the children will also be able share the love of God with their loved ones
> Ushers Ministry: That the ushers will be blessed for their labour of love
> Chinese Ministry: That this ministry will reach more chinese speaking people

* Pray that God will raise up helpers and committed servants.
* Pray that the grace of God and His love flow through these ministries.
* Pray that God will bless them with the strength and persistence to carry through their responsibilities.
* Pray that each person will be able to translate Pastor’s God-given vision into reality.
* Pray that God will bless them physically, emotionally, financially & mentally.

DAY 5 - MINISTRIES (PT 2)
> Music, Sound & Projection Ministry: For God to raise up more music servants & helpers to join the ministry.
> Church staff: God will bless the work of their hands and their steadfast dedication.
> Treasury: Pray that God will bless the ministry with more dedicated help.
> Epaphras Ministry: God will raise up more people of prayer and prayer warriors.

* Pray that God will use each person mightily to minister to His people.
* Pray for the understanding and exercising of the Gifts of the Spirit.
* Pray for greater unity and team work in building up God’s Kingdom.
* Pray that God will bless their investment of time and effort in service.
* Pray for each person to be filled with greater faith, zeal and passion.

070331 Prayer Pointers

Organization
- Publicity posters and flyers have to distributed to Christian Bookshops. But some did not display them. Pray that they would so it would not go to waste
- Posters and handbills have supernatural ability to attract visitors.
- Exhibits and deco to be ready on time. Pray for grace for the doers.
- Seder plates to arrive at Kim’s place by Fri for her to bring to Singapore
- Pray against tactics of the enemy to discourage the committee. Pray against spiritual attacks
- Food to be the right kind and be prepared in sufficient quantities.
- The committee can expect the unexpected problems and be able to recover/mitigate the problems
- Kelvin Su can learn to blow the Shofar
- MM can integrate Jewish music with the Seder seqeunce

Congregation (All)
- Zeal and passion to evangelise
- Pray for open doors for members to be able to invite their friends, relatives down.
- Diligence and tenaciousness in prayer and fasting week b4 Passover
- They would be able to follow, appreciate and recognize the significance of Passover
- There will be full house on all 3 days
- Protection from spiritual attacks from the enemy

Speaker
- Kim would have safe jounrney to Singapore. She would be leaving on Sun and arriving on Tues morning.
- She would be sensitive to the Holy Ghost
- The program she designed would be seeker friendly
- God would anoint her with the Gifts of the Spirit to operate during the service

060922 - Reports

Sunday School:

  1. Change in Sunday School curriculum that the children will enjoy learning & growing together.
  2. Strength & grace for teachers as they conduct the classes every Sundays.
  3. Spiritual growth of current children in response to our bible-based lessons.
  4. Childrens’ Day party as a good outreach opportunity.

Youth Ministry:

  1. Successful mentoring/discipleship culture to be established.
  2. Teachings about Spiritual Gifts will encourage youths to grow and move in the various gifts.
  3. Heart of commitment towards service in God’s Kingdom.

Young Adults Ministry:

  1. God’s wisdom, favour & protection be upon working adults & army servicemen that they may be able to come for both church services & cell meetings.
  2. Need for spiritual maturity, unity and greater bonding.
  3. Ability to focus on God with the joy of the Lord to manage work and army.
  4. Prosperity upon the work of their hands at their workplaces & ministries.
  5. Opportunities both at work or in army for outreach to the lost.

Sports Ministry:

  1. Focus on outreach to the lost.
  2. Open doors to reap a ready harvest.
