VeggieTales - An Easter Carol

Tuesday, April 25th, 2006

Ebenezer Nezzer is out of control!

Filling London with plastic Easter eggs, he’s on a rampage to make Easter bigger than ever! But just how hard can his mechanical chickens work before they’re…well, fried?

In just one unforgettable day and night, Cavis and Millward (Bob and Larry) and a music box angel named Hope (voiced by Rebecca St. James) must convince Nezzer that Easter is about more than just candy and eggs.

Inspired by Dicken’s Christmas classic, this very special Veggie Tales film explains why millions of Christians around the world celebrate Easter past, present and future.

In Dr. Jiggle & Mr. Sly - a hilarious tale inspired by the classic Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde - the Veggies learn to be true to themselves, told as only VeggieTales could - with a disco beat and a white polyester leisure suit!

Included with this great release is the much loved story Flibber-o-loo where kids learn that helping your neighbour means helping those in need.

Author: Dr John W. Stanko

In the game “Simon Says,” everyone tries to become Simon, the leader. But in real life, leading others is much more complex - it’s part preparation, part perspiration, and part inspiration.

John Stanko outlines how to develop a leadership philosophy that includes all three.

He shows you how to define your values, purpose, and goals. He gives you practical steps to help you better manage yourself and your time. And he paints vivid pictures of the price of leadership with three great biblical examples - Moses, David, and Daniel.

By combining the latest in leadership techniques with a solid biblical foundation, Dr. Stanko delivers cutting-edge tools for leaders who want to build upon their natural abilities and learn how to serve and influence others for the glory of God.

Preaching - A Comprehensive Approach to the Design and the Delivery of Sermons

Tuesday, April 25th, 2006

Author: James W. Cox

This book attempts to help ministerial students and practicing pastors to preach well: that is, to preach with solid biblical and theological content; to preach sermons that engage both heart and mind; and to preach interestingly, persuasively, and with integrity.

This is not a book that favors a narrow concept of method. It recognizes that preachers have personalities that differ and that congregations have differing needs and capacities. Therefore, this book attempts to set forth a variety of ways to communicate Christian truth.

This is, of course, a concession to individual personality differences, but it is also an effort to suggest alternative ways of “getting the message across,” so as to make the preparation of every sermon a challenge to be creative and effective.
