Have you worshipped this week? If you heard last Sunday’s sermon you would know that worship is much more than a song. It’s about surrendering to God’s will, submitting to His voice and serving Him. I believe that when we remain open to God, He will show us how we can effectively worship.
Now think about this…serving others is so much a part of worship. In fact its when you serve that you begin to surrender to His will. Most of us would prefer not to serve God with our time, talent and treasure. Our human nature wants to be served at all times and not be in discomfort because we have to part with our time, talent and treasure.
But that’s when you and I submit to God’s voice and tell God that we will sacrifice the comforts that we so dearly hold on to, so that His name will be glorified!
On the same line, as many of our church members have been consecrating time to pray and seek the Lord this past two months, I believe that God is going to open new avenues for us to serve others. In fact right now, you may be seeing these new opportunities right where you are. I challenge you to pray over these open doors, share about them to others in your small group or ministry, and let’s support each other as we seek to do something for God.
I believe that as we set our minds to surrender, submit and to serve, our worship experience every Sunday will reach a whole new level.
The Lord bless you as you serve Him
