Course Syllabus
Course Description
This course is an intensive study of the two epistles of Paul to the Corinthians. These epistles deal with such areas as church problems and discipline, the gifts and operation of the Spirit, and church ordinances and practices.
Course Outcome
As a result of this course you should be able to
- know the factual content of the two epistles well
- describe Paul’s ministry
- understand the major divisions of the epistles
- discover the context of Paul’s letters
- understand Paul’s teaching on subjects such as divisions, immorality, disputes, the Lord’s supper, marriage, Christian liberty, the resurrection and spiritual gifts
- apply Paul’s teaching to issues in the local church
Course Requirements
** Pre-requisites: You should have read through the 2 epistles of Paul to the Corinthians before you come for the first lesson.
1 Read through the chapters of I and II Corinthians , the more you read it the more you will be familiar with the subject matter of the book..
2 Answer the Study Questions for the above mentioned epistles.
3 Memorise selected portions of the epistles.
4 Participate actively in class sessions.
5 Present on a topic assigned to you.
6 Clear the examinations

1 Active participation in class (20%)

3 Test 1 (1 Corinthians) (15%)
4 Test 2 (2 Corinthians) (15%)
5 Final Exam (30%)
Notes on the test
The test will test you on the content of the two epistles. You are not required to use any of the discussion in our classes for the purpose of the test. The tests are meant to help you master the two epistles as far as its content is concerned.
