Course Outline - Poetic Books
Thursday, March 9th, 2006This course is a study of the five books of the Old Testament commonly known as the Poetic Books, with a brief introduction to Hebrew poetry. The books studied are Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon, and Lamentations. An analysis is made of the authorship, literary structure, doctrine, and theology of each book, with emphasis placed on the role of wisdom literature in the Christian life and faith.
