Adding A Password-Protected Post
IMPORTANT: Use Firefox as your web browser!
Here are the steps to posting a password-protected page with download links:
- Go to www.alivecommunity.net/church/clc
- Login with your username and password by clicking on “Login” under the “Admin” section in the right side-bar
- Upon successful login, you should see the CLC Dashboard
- Click on “Write” on the topbar (next to “Dashboard”)
- You should be in the “Write Post” feature
- Enter a descriptive Title and start writing content in the Post section
- If you wish to include a file for people reading to download (watch video):
- Just below the Post section is the Upload section
- Click on “Browse…” to find the file you wish to include
- Enter a Title and Description for the file before clicking “Upload”
- After clicking “Upload” the file should appear in a Browse window
- To place the file in your post, click and without releasing your mouse button, drag the cursor into your post and the location you wish the file link to appear, and then release the mouse button
- To password-protect the post:
- To the right of the Post section, there are several tabs. One of the tab is “Password-Protect Post”
- Click on the ‘plus’ sign on the right of the “Password-Protect Post” (if it’s not open and showing a blank text box)
- Enter the password in the blank text box
- To ensure that you don’t forget the password, send an e-mail to joash@alivecommunity.net with details of the Title of the post and the password used
- Click on the ‘plus’ sign on the right of the “Categories” (if it’s not open and showing a list of categories)
- Ensure that the correct categories for the post are ticked
- When you are done, click “Publish” just under the Post section
Points to note:
- When uploading graphics to be included in the post (watch video)
- Use a picture size with width no more than 450 pixels
- Use a resolution of 72 dpi (or ppi)
- When browsing the graphic, click on it to bring up an option menu and toggle it to “Using Original” to have the full resolution picture in your post when you drag it in
